Formats and rules
Premier is the main competitive format of Star Wars: Unlimited. One leader, one base, at least 50 cards, best of three. Only recent sets are legal: each year, the oldest block of sets rotates out.
Sets are grouped in blocks. All sets of a block enter Premier on their release and leave it together.

When the first set of a new year comes out, early in the year, the oldest block rotates out and the newest one keeps growing.
Since Jump to Lightspeed, each card shows a small rotation mark. All sets of a block share the same mark: A, then B, then C.

Rotated cards stay legal in Eternal, Twin Suns and casual games. And when a card is reprinted in a Premier-legal set, every printing of that card is legal again in Premier.

50 cards or more, no maximum. Up to 3 copies of a card: same name and subtitle, whatever the art or the foil.
Up to 10 cards, no leader or base. The 3-copy limit counts the deck and the sideboard together.
Your aspects are the icons on your leader and your base. You can play any card, but each aspect icon your leader and base do not provide costs 2 more resources.
A card with the same icon twice needs that icon twice on your leader and base. Neutral cards have no aspect and no penalty.

Place your base, then your leader. In game 1, a random player chooses who starts with the initiative.
Draw 6 cards. You may mulligan once: shuffle and draw a new 6. Then put exactly 2 cards face down as resources.
Play until a base is defeated.
Swap cards between your deck and your sideboard. The deck stays at 50 cards or more, the sideboard at 10 or fewer.
The loser of the previous game chooses who starts with the initiative. The first player to win two games wins the match.
Swiss rounds · 55 minutes
Finish the current round, then play one more action phase. The game ends there, without a regroup phase.
An unfinished game is a draw. The player with more game wins takes the match; with the same number of wins, the match is a draw.
Top cut · 75 minutes or more
If a game is not over when time runs out, the player whose base has more remaining HP wins. If both bases are tied, the player with the initiative wins.
Top cut rounds can also have no time limit, if this is announced before the top cut starts.
Relaxed events can use best-of-one matches with 25-minute rounds. There is no sideboarding in best of one.

Only if a card with the same name and subtitle was reprinted in a Premier-legal set. Then every printing is legal, the old one included. Example: Death Trooper from Spark of Rebellion, reprinted in Secrets of Power.
Yes, when a card with the same name and subtitle exists in a Premier-legal set. Event promos are existing cards with a new art or frame: no prize card has its own rules text. Demo and Beta cards are never legal.
On its official release date. Cards opened at a prerelease can only be used in that prerelease until the release.
Cad Bane, Still Faster Than You, the leader from Ashes of the Empire. A suspended card cannot be played in any event of that format, casual or competitive. It stays legal in Eternal and Twin Suns. See the suspended list.
